What we do with your information.

Who we are

[Company name] Ltd, trading as Gouté Balvin, is the data controller for the information described here. Registered office: [address]. Email: hello@example.com.

What we collect, and why

When you order

Your name, delivery and billing address, email, phone number, what you bought and how much you paid, plus any gift message and your age confirmation. We use this to process and deliver your order, to send you order and dispatch emails, and to keep the records the law requires us to keep (including as an alcohol retailer). Lawful basis: performance of a contract, and legal obligation. Payment is handled by Stripe; we never see your full card number.

When you contact us or ask for a trade sample

Your name, email, and whatever you tell us in the message — plus venue details for trade enquiries. We use it to reply and follow up. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (or steps towards a contract for trade).

When you join our mailing list

Your email address and, if you give it, your name. We use it to send you news about Gouté Balvin. Lawful basis: your consent. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or you can email us to be removed.

Who we share it with

Only the companies that help us run the business, and only what they need: Stripe (payment), our courier (delivery address and contact number), our email and hosting providers, and our accountant where required. We don’t sell your information and we don’t share it with advertisers.

How long we keep it

Order records: six years after the order, for tax and accounting. Enquiries: up to twelve months. Mailing list: until you unsubscribe. Trade enquiries: for as long as we are in contact about supplying you.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time. Email us and we will respond within a month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies and storage on your device

This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies. It stores two things on your device to work at all: a note in your browser session that you passed the age check, and the contents of your basket (in local storage) so it is still there if you come back. Our payment page is provided by Stripe, which sets its own cookies for fraud prevention; see Stripe’s privacy policy for details. If we add analytics, we will update this page and ask for your consent first.
